Looking Back: Christmas 2016

As 2017 rushes in, we stop to remember a fantastic Christmas season at Dreamscheme.

Braniel Intergenerational Christmas Dinner

On 8th December, our young people from Braniel hosted the annual Christmas dinner in Braniel Community Centre. It was a great night for young and old, with plenty of good food, good music and great craic!

Christmas Bake Sale

Our Braniel team held a successful Christmas bake sale on the 10th December. It was lovely to see many friends and local residents pop in for a box of buns and a chat. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise just over £500, which will directly support the work of Dreamscheme in the Braniel community.

Belvoir & Milltown Intergenerational Christmas Dinner

Our Milltown/Belvoir Dreamscheme team, led by Niall, hosted a seniors Christmas dinner in Belvoir Estate. Well done to all the young people who did such a brilliant job at helping out. It was great to see such a large group of senior citizens join us for this special night - and we are excited to organise more intergenerational events in 2017!

Tesco Bag Pack

On Saturday 17th December, a merry team of friends, supporters and young people joined us at Tesco Newtownbreda for a day of bag-packing, in support of our work in the community. It was such a privilege to speak to so many local shoppers about Dreamscheme, and we were really encouraged by the genuine interest and support shown by all. Many thanks to Tescos, for welcoming us into the store, and to everyone who contributed so generously to our cause.
